[After the Castle melted around them, Sesa needed some time alone.
After ensuring that he'd come out of his brush with death without injuries, he'd retreated not to his room or the Inn or even the Therapy building, but the Bathhouse. He needed a scalding shower, right the fuck now. He's cold, he's miserable, his brain is scrambled and he'd like to just soak in the water by himself for a couple days, thanks. He proceeds to stand under water so hot that it would seriously injure a normal person before he retires to the hot baths, soaking for many hours before returning unceremoniously to his room at the lab to go straight to bed.
He follows this routine for a couple days after. He holes himself up in the lab and works for most of the day to get his mind off things, then he goes and spends his evening in the Bathhouse until bed. Rinse and repeat. It does absolutely nothing to make him forget what happened, of course, but it at least helps quell the physical symptoms.
Ugh. Fuck.
Everything was fine until Passenger showed up.
Eventually, before the week is up, Sesa has had enough. He leaves his room and the lab proper, his body chilled by the cold as he quickly marches into the Inn, uninterested in being in the snow for very long. He's quite sick of all of this ice now, as a matter of fact, and can now only think to a future where it will be much warmer...he hopes. He'll spend a brief moment warming himself by the fire before he walks upstairs, his tail sweeping anxiously behind him as he goes.
He finds Passenger's room eventually and knocks, carrying something bulky and familiar to Passenger at his side.]
[A Terran holiday has come with little fanfare, and Sesa wonders if it’s something anyone else here knows about. Cares about? Perhaps it’s been forgotten in the chaos of the chocolates and shared memory spaces everyone has been dealing with…it would make sense. And Sesa has been feeling…
Weird! Weird. He wouldn’t even necessarily call it weird in a bad way, so much as…his feelings about Elliot are kindof all over the place. They’re complicated. He’s still pretty sure he can’t stand him. At the same time, he’s moved into his room since their first tryst. They sleep together. They flirt, Elliot watches him work and they chatter like schoolboy crushes, it’s kindof disgusting. Then there are times when you have chocolates that make your affections blast through the fucking stratosphere and you Act on them during that time and you’re left feeling even more…
More.
He has the results of that now, clutched in his fist. He could very easily just throw it away, or bury it, or give it to Heimr…or keep it for some other time. But with everything that’s gone on, and how…he feels? Maybe…
Ugh. Before he can overthink it, Sesa pushes the door to his own damn room open, poking his head in.]
E- [His voice cracked, he needs to jump into the river now] -…Elliot? Are you in here?
( bingbong! there is a box waiting for him, hovering midair atop a gentle swirl of pink sparkles that will vanish once he takes it. within is silky-smooth brown cheesecake. he'll note that it is both chai and coffee. delicious! )
[Elliot has likely not seen Sesa much today. That's not an uncommon occurrence, since the two of them sometimes do get up to work separately. They aren't attached entirely by the hip, after all, and nothing bad has happened recently to warrant such...well. Save for what Elliot has been through, but that has required a bit more delicate handling. There are times when Sesa is needed to be close and to provide support, and others when Elliot just needs to be alone for a while, which he respects. This is one of those times, which is convenient because Sesa spends that time working...
And as the evening winds around, and he's sweating from welding and metalworking, it's finished. With the rocks he received from Ydalir a couple of days ago, he's crafted a necklace. It's crude. It's rough. It's not super fancy looking, and there are a lot of mistakes, blemishes, and uneven work to it...he's not a jeweler, after all. But it was important that he do this, even if it didn't turn out anywhere near as nice looking as the ring, which...let's be real, wasn't super great either.
Regardless, he'll find Elliot wherever he's ended up this evening, be it in their room or elsewhere. He has the necklace safely tucked into his coat, with a mug of coffee held between his hands for the time being, just the way he knows Elliot likes it.]
[It's highly likely that Elliot has heard, by now. The workshop is right next to the lab, which is right next to the clinic, and Sesa was screaming bloody murder outside before he actually got Mizuki in. And whether or not the Liberi came by himself to visit, he will not have gotten much of a response out of Sesa immediately either way. Sesa...stayed with Mizuki as long as he was able. He stayed knelt by his side, weeping over his body and holding his hand, until he was eventually probably shooed out by someone. Told to go home, go rest. Mizuki is gone, and no amount of crying over him is going to bring him back.
By the time he leaves, he feels completely worn out. Like someone has taken a spoon and hollowed him out from the inside, leaving him feeling exhausted, dehydrated, and so very, very sad. The anger has yet to fill the void, as he drags himself back home, his tail sweeping the floor because he lacks the energy to even hold it up.
He comes in, and no doubt finds Elliot there, somewhere. Be it standing there waiting for him, or sitting at his desk, or by the bed, anywhere really.
For some reason, just walking in to where he is is enough to reopen the floodgates, leaving Sesa standing there in the center of the room bawling all over again, bringing his hands up to his face like a child as if he might be able to stop the tears before they become too much of an inconvenience.]
The Forest has had its fun this month. He's put up with seeing a fascimile of himself- of his sibling- and being culled in their place. He's felt the anger of a vengeful ghost, enraged at being murdered and tired of everyone and everything. He's felt such deep, yawning sorrow that he's not sure when he'll ever feel true joy and happiness again.
No. He knows when, and how. It's by going into the Garden and getting Elliot back.
He's admittedly never been before. He feels like maybe he should feel more...anxiety or apprehension, but really he just wants his beloved back. That's all he cares about. He would do anything- risk anything- to get him back. The fact that he now has Oripathy running through his veins says as much.
He'll allow himself to be led by the hand until he's reached the Garden proper, at which point he strikes out on his own to find the Liberi, though he's honestly...unsure what he will find. Nene warned him that he might be different, but he hasn't given himself the space to think about...different in what way?
[Where is fiance…he hasn’t seen him for a while. Fiance? Where :(
Sesa in the meanwhile has been working as a clerk at a nearby videogame store, and he’s been doing a pretty damn good job of it, all told. The customers are happy, he’s happy being surrounded by his favorite hobby…and as strange as this city is, it’s like. Not the worst? It’s more familiar than the Grove, and he appreciates the aesthetics at play here. He won’t mind spending a month here, he thinks.
If he could find! His fiance!!!!
